Every designer should have this

In a list of apps for new designers to download, this should be in the top 10! Every time Ive used this as a new designer, Ive cross referenced and realized that I am right at what I should be charging. It even takes into account what I have to pay for as a freelancer and what state I live in. Its REALLY helpful and takes a LOT of stress out of coming up with a price for my clients!

Spelling

You know its not worth the money when misspelling overshadows content. Dont waste your money buying this app. Does not refer to artist only illustrator or graphic artist.

Poorly maintained

Maybe this app was good at one point, but right now, its a waste of time and money. I gave them all my info and at the end, I got "NaN" as the suggested rate... The app itself is also poorly designed -- at one point, I had to quit the app in order to hide the keyboard before I could move to a different screen.

Freelancer

This app estimated my hourly billing rate at less than 1/3 of my current rate. My current rate was check against other freelancers in town with similar levels of experience and specialty. Save your money, ask your cohort what theyre charging. Do your research.

An Unfortunate Purchase

I bought this because I needed help coming up with a good framework for charging my clients. After my purchase I try this app out, register for it, and attempt to calculate an hourly rate, then a project after putting all my info in. It comes back with a "NaN" error, and absolutely anything I do, nothing will work. I see that the developers are aware of this, but this does NOT help me what-so-ever. I understand you have previous customers that this app has helped, and may still work for some, however since this is my first experience, a "Were working on fixing this soon" does not help me at all. I am sorry, but no. That does not work for me. I wish I could give 0 stars!

Great Reference Tool

For me this app has been a great tool for estimating projects and rates. Other reviews gave this app a bad score mainly due to the NaN (which I have never encountered, but the developer explains how to avoid it), the estimates it provides, it the lack if a huge library of professions to choose from. I think those folks didnt really understand who this app was actually designed for. As for the estimates, its just that. Estimates. If the app says you should charge $20 an hour but you feel like your worth $50 then charge $50. The app only estimates what you need to cover your expenses and make a 30% profit, just likes it says it will. If you keep a level head then you will find this app does exactly what it says it will do...

Exactly what I needed

I am just starting out in freelance graphic design and one of the more difficult tasks has been pricing. Each project I felt as though I was just throwing some random number at the client and I just didnt have the consistency that I wanted. With this app, I feel that my pricing is now based on substantial data. No app is ever going to be everything to everyone, but for me this app is exactly what I needed.

Crashes and doesnt offer tips for photography

Well that was dumb. This = no help

Not Trustworthy

Not enough options for the breadth of work I do. After I filled out my info, it estimated my hourly rate at less than half of what I currently charge! Who wrote this app, some grumpy low baller who resents paying people their worth? Not cool, beware.
